Rapid Development of Integrated Aerospace and Defense Systems
Our Capabilities
We rapidly engineer multi-domain technologies using advanced materials, modern manufacturing, and fast test cycles to deliver robust, tailored systems, transforming complex mission and business requirements into reliable, scalable capabilities.
-
Our research methodology begins with mission analysis and operator interviews to ensure we are solving the right problem. We decompose requirements into simple, robust architectures that withstand real‑world abuse and logistics constraints. From the first concept sketch, we emphasize low maintenance, high uptime, and ease of operation in complex, high‑stress environments.
-
Our engineering design process is built on first-principles analysis, model-based definitions, and close collaboration between disciplines — developing architectures that are mechanically sound, thermally managed, and producible. Every component is sized for actual operational loads, designed for access and replaceability in the field, and defined with enough detail that fabrication, inspection, and assembly can proceed without ambiguity. The design that leaves our team is the design that can actually be built and fielded.
-
We build prototypes to learn, not just to demonstrate. Leveraging trusted machining partners, in-house additive manufacturing, and streamlined build processes, we compress lead times and keep design-build-test cycles short and purposeful — each build tied to specific technical questions identified in research and design, built from released drawings with full material traceability and documented deviations. The result is hardware that reflects the design, survives the test, and generates data that closes open questions and drives real engineering decisions.
-
We test relentlessly because analysis alone is never enough. Every major design decision at Koble6 is backed by hardware data, as we build short test loops into every program phase so that risks surface early and fixes are inexpensive. We approach testing as an engineering discipline, not a compliance exercise — test plans written to generate insight, instrumentation selected to capture the variables that drive performance, and post-test analysis thorough enough to close the loop on every open question.
-
We design for manufacturability from day one, involving fabrication expertise early to eliminate features that drive unnecessary cost and schedule risk, so that the transition to production is a natural progression, not a redesign effort. Our manufacturing support spans production drawing release, first article inspection planning, supplier engagement, and build surveillance, ensuring that what was designed is exactly what gets built.
Team
Koble6 is led by an MIT-accredited aerospace engineer with hands-on experience across propulsion, thermal systems, systems engineering, and advanced manufacturing — from modeling multi-phase propulsion fluid systems on Stratolaunch's launch vehicle to leading thermal management for an all-3D-printed spacecraft at Orbital ATK, spacecraft refueling systems at Northrop Grumman, and autonomous rendezvous systems at NASA Goddard. Our team brings deep roots across the aerospace and defense industrial base, with hands-on experience in design, fabrication, and test across metallic, composite, and additive manufactured hardware. We extend that depth through a partner network of U.S.-based machinists, fabricators, and operators who have built and used the kinds of systems we develop.
